Traveling to Berlin

The city of Berlin, Germany is around the river Spree in the Province, the federal state of Brandenburg. Berlin is the capital of Germany and has undergone tremendous changes over the past 100 years. Now is a thriving modern city and exciting, welcoming both tourists and business visitors. Since the Second World War, the city has changed in modern times, having suffered the Second World War in much of Europe.

Much of Berlin has been rebuilt, restored or rejuvenated and there are still some wonderful architecture, both ancient and new, side by side. There are several tourist information offices located in downtown Berlin and these provide an update on the Berlin tourist attractions, museums, events, festivals, tours, sightseeing in Berlin and tourism in general.

With so much to see and do, the city has become a popular destination for visitors and there is a good selection of hotels, which vary in price depending mainly on the area where accommodation is situated in Berlin. The Tiergarten is Berlin’s central park and a green oasis covers a vast area of over 630 hectares acres/252. This is a beautiful park and is a popular place to entertain Berliners come away from city life. With established gardens, trees, flowers, coffee and beer garden, there is even a secluded area reserved for nudists, who often come here to sunbathe in peace and tranquility.

Berlin is a relaxed city with an exciting atmosphere and a strong sense of change. Tourism is becoming big business, suggesting that despite Berlin’s troubled past, this city has great future ahead of!

Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto
